“Had the time of my life.... Conrad is an extremely talented artist He was both informative and fun.. I recommend going to this studio and checking it out his technique. Being able to create and take home something that you make is a lasting memory that will impact you on a daily basis. This was the Highlight of my trip.”

“My husband and I were on vacation in Oregon and decided to check out Eugene. When looking for things to see and do we came upon this studio (through Trip Advisor!) and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. Conrad and Erin were wonderful and our glass-blowing class was not only interesting but a lot of fun. We made our own ornament and bowl to take home and the memory makes me smile everytime I see them. I would highly reccommend a visit to folks of all ages.”

“We had a great time at Studio West. I've always thought glass blowing was interesting and when I found that you could get instruction on glass blowing and blow your own piece all for the same price that you would pay for a pre-made piece of art, I was sold. Not only do you get to make and keep a beautiful piece of glass art (we made one bowl and two ornaments) but you also have the satisfaction of knowing that it was something that you created. Conrad was great and showed you all the steps before having you do it yourself. Would highly recommend. It was one of the highlights of our visit to Eugene. Take the time to look at some of the other beautiful pieces created by Conrad while you're there. They are gorgeous also.’

“We found this great gallery and studio almost by accident but we're sure glad we did. Conrad, Erin and Sprocket the dog were all very welcoming and made our day both educational and fun. The gallery displays pieces for sale as well as offers demonstrations and workshops for a real hands-on experience. Studio West is well worth a visit!”

“Recently got interested in blown glass after visiting several studios, including the Tacoma Glass Museum. We got turned on to Studio West by the owners at a Eugene B&B that we're staying at. Went on a whim, and were extremely impressed with the studio and with Conrad. My daughter and my wife ended up taking a lesson from him - my daughter made a glass ornament, while my wife made a glass bowl. Conrad is excellent - he's very patient and a great teacher. It's obvious that he loves what he does, and explained all of the intracacies of the process as they were creating the pieces. “

My advice to you is to go and see the studio, regardless of whether you're interested in learning how to blow glass. The pieces on display there are beatiful and yet are very reasonable (more so than at other studios that we've visited). And, if you are interested in giving glass blowing a try, definitiely check it out. You'll find that you're able to have a great time for a reasonable price, and on top of it you'll end up with a keepsake that you can use for years to come.

Our only regret is that we're unable to transport Conrad and his studio to Sacramento, where we live.”

“After visiting Studio West on a scheduled Art Walk I met and talked with Conrad Williams, the artist and owner. His glassblowing gallery and studio are very appealing as was his invitation to take a one hour class where I could walk away with a piece I would create myself with his help. Conrad is an excellent instructor and within the alloted time, he shared the basics of his art, demonstrated the steps of making an art object, and then allowed me to follow his lead. I ended up with a "Float" which now resides in my home, and even my wife who thinks I have zero patience and no artistic talent is impressed with the piece. The price of instuction to include your art piece, which could be an ornament or a bowl as well as a float, was very reasonable cost wise. Conrad and his wife Aron are gracious hosts. This was the highlight of my visit to Eugene.”

“Eugene is a fun but quiet town in need of unique experiences. Had a fun unique experience at Studio West. They have great art, glass, and jewelry for sale. Even more fun are their free glass blowing demonstrations. You can even take glass blowing lessons. Adults and kids can learn very quickly to make fun things. I have no talent and made Christmas balls that will make unique personalized gifts”

“If you can squeeze this experience in during your time in Eugene, you should. Having the chance to manipulate and blow glass is rare, and being able to actually do so under the watchful eye of Conrad is a treat! I recently had the opportunity to blow my own glass ornament at Studio West - Conrad and Erin are kind, talented and an all around blast to get to know. Conrad is a patient, safe and informative teacher - and I just had so much fun learning exactly what it takes to blow glass! Blowing your own ornament is not your only option - hourly lessons are available - and Erin even suggested couple's lessons, which I think would be a blast! Also, the gallery itself is chock full of amazing works from local artists. Go forth and blow!”

“Very sharp studio. Took a girl on a date there to try something new. Definitely recommend blowing your own piece. Conrad, one of the curators, is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He explains everything in great detail and lets you get involved as much as you are comfortable. Very easy on the wallet. $70 for my date and I. Keep in mind that includes the tour, the experience, the two pieces you create, and a great date. This all took about an hour and half”

“watch glass blowing up close in a well lit studio or make your own piece with assistance”

“This is not your run-of-the-mill art gallery. It's a hands-on feast for the senses. Nested in Eugene's newest corridor of high end art, Studio West is an affordable experience of interactive creation. For a reasonable fee you are able to create your own works of fine glass art. Conrad Williams and his assistants will help guide you through the remarkable process of changing molten glass into a one of a kind work of art that will bring years of enjoyment and cherished memories. “

“I highly recommend Studio West as a wonderful opportunity to do something different. The proprietors are very kind and helpful and always willing to go the extra mile to make your experience in the world of glass art exceptional. It's the perfect date for happy memories that will last a lifetime. It's simply one of the most enjoyable experiences I have ever had--hands down.”

“We were walking by and noticed the photography. We stopped in to check it out, only to find out that they also blow glass. The guy who worked there was very friendly. Turns out you can blow your own ornaments, and other stuff. I tried the ornament. It was SO much fun. I want to go back and make all my christmas presents! Apparently they also blow glass for others to watch on the weekends.”
